Kim Tae Hee: More Than A Pretty Face

Actually Kim Tae Hee is more than a pretty face. I think she can act better than Song Hye Kyo who is usually seen playing the part of a crying protagonist even when it's a comedy. For Kim Tae Hee, I think her performance is something.

What of it? I can't help but really give a round of applause for her when she acted the despicable and hateful Yoori of Stairway to Heaven- she managed to give the audience a different impression. Unlike the other pretty girls like Kim So Yeon who had the "evil look", her angelic expression didn't let us know how evil she was until she acted it out. Nicely done.

So far her protagonist roles are still outstanding and they did some challenges on her part. As of late, she's been doing action roles too. I enjoyed her action scenes in Forbidden Love which proves she's no ordinary lady. I even liked how she portrayed the part where she ended committing suicide rather than cause the guy any more pain.

However she sadly didn't do any series or films for five years after her success in Love Story in Harvard (another script I liked) but made a return point in 2009 to film IRIS- a suspense thriller that may interest me.
