I'm just amazed that Barbie Xu got the chance to film this. Here's what- two NGs happened and yet it pushed through. However I really don't like the idea of a tandem between them as he's way "too old" for her in my opinion.

ReplyDeleteIt seems to be a Hong Kong thing to star father-daughter types of couple. It must be a "inter-generational" fetish of some sort that is unfamiliar to outsiders. Just look at the age of their "leading men": Andy Lau 51; Tony Leung 47; Jackie Chan 57; Jacky Cheung 46; and Daniel Wu 36. And they never pair these geezers with any "age appropriate" leading ladies.
And age 51, Andy Lau was voted as the "ideal boy friend" by HK TV viewers, leading the rest of the world scratching our heads.
