Some Japanese Tokusatsu Actors Who Appeared in Chinese Movies
So far in the Japanese series known as Tokusatsu which gets subdivided into Super Sentai (adapted as Power Rangers in the West), Masked Rider and Metal Hero. Here are some I can remember:
Tetsuya Matsui was known to Japanese fans for playing his role as the Great Leader's right hand man (actually mobile body of sorts) in Kamen Rider Black RX namely the arrogant and conceited General Tasmadder. Perhaps he got bored with Japan Action Club's projects and decided to try out in the action packed world of Chinese martial arts cinema and ended up having a rather awesome fight scene with Andy Lau in Lucky Stars Go Places as the Japanese Crime Lord who was also a swordsman like his Tokusatsu role. Sadly he didn't do any more after Magnificent Warriors.
Yup she's also Cynthia Luster. Who can ever forget her role as the rather vicious Farrah Cat in Bioman? So far she was one of Japan Action Club's best fighting stuntwomen that she qualified to take into Hong Kong action movies where action is overly intense. She had her nun-chucks as her trademark action attack as well as her kicks which she first did against former Japanese actress Yuki Yajima in Bioman. She later appeared in Philippine cinema for a short time.
