Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa as Video Game Villains

Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa played two video game villains namely...

Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat movie and later, in the web series Mortal Kombat Legacy.  Mortal Kombat movie's Shang Tsung introduced the phrase "Your soul is mine!" into the video game series.  The character's legacy caused him to return to Mortal Kombat Legacy as the Outworld sorcerer Shang Tsung.  I just can't wait to see more him in the web series aside from seeing the darker version of my favorite MK character, Liu Kang.

The next one was Heihachi in the failed Tekken movie. While he was an epic actor but I wanted the character to be acted by HK actor Ti Lung instead.  Hmmm I wonder did this incident cause Heihachi to be "de-aged" for the non-canon Tekken Tag Tournament 2?  FYI, Shang Tsung was an old-man de-aged for the rest of Mortal Kombat.  Coincidence?

What is not all that surprising is that Cary Tagawa's appearance in "The Phantom" was later copied into Mortal Kombat (2011) with its version of Shang Tsung complete with the phrase, "Your soul is mine!" in the game.
