Tori Matsuzaka's Still Grateful For Shinkenger

It's no surprise that Tori Matsuzaka is grateful for Shinkenger -- for starting him off. If the first Takeru (Kazunori Inaba) still cherishes Red Mask then Matsuzaka still cherishes Shinken Red. What was amazing to know was that he originally had no plans to become a big time actor -- but his charm worked and he continued acting.

I find this to be very amazing for this reason. He wasn't really that good playing Shinken Red. He had some of the common problems that Kotaro Tanaka had in Jetman -- both get the job done but lack the impact of Red Mask's actor. He was Takeru by name but more of Ryu Tendo in terms of performance. But after Shinkenger -- he has dramatically improved. He's probably Japan's most wanted bachelor right now which may be a relief. I don't want to see a Shinkenger Ten Years either. I think the cast is better off living their chosen careers over coming back for a reunion movie. Though I wonder -- who in the world will be the lucky bride? I wonder if he will also marry a Filipino woman like his namesake?

Him acting as a villain is no surprise. I mean, before Inaba retired he also guest starred as villains in Solbrain and Exceedraft (two different characters). One's an evil game programmer and the other is a corrupt policeman. His newest villain role outdoes Gedou Shinken Red. Now he plays as the villain known as Tadashi Usobuki in the movie Funouhan. Just looking at that sinister smile is scary! He looks like he's going to rape some unfortunate lady in this picture!
