Thanks To Suzy Bae For Her Generous UNICEF Donation For The Turkey And Syria Earthquake
From the Naver News, it's confirmed that Suzy did this great act of charity:
The Korean Committee for UNICEF announced on February 13 that actress Suzy donated 100 million won by participating in 'Emergency Relief for Children Victims of the Earthquake in Turkey and Syria'. All of this fund will be used for emergency relief projects to help children physically and mentally recover from earthquakes in Turkey and Syria according to Suzy's will.
Suzy, who has heard the news of earthquake victims who lost their families and homes and is shivering in the cold, said, “I am anxiously listening to the news of the rescue, hoping that at least one more person will be rescued. I decided to donate after hearing the news that families and children of victims who had lost their homes were staying up all night in the freezing cold. He said, “I would be grateful if I could contribute even a little to helping children regain their dreams and hopes.”
Lee Gi-chul, Secretary General of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, said, “Suzy, who has become a social example for her constant good deeds, practiced great sharing this time as well. Suzy's warm actions, appearing like an angel wherever there is a difficulty, will be a great help in helping the children of Turkey and Syria regain their hopes and dreams.”
Meanwhile, Suzy is scheduled to appear in the Netflix original series 'Iduna!'
I doubt it she's the only celebrity in South Korea who donated after that terrible incident. I bet there's a lot more than just her who did this kind of charitable act. Maybe, even bigger amounts of money are poured right now for the earthquake victims.
Kudos to her for her continual participation in charity.
