Yu Miyazawa Goes From Kamen Rider Gotchard To Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger

Once again, I'm really left behind Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger's lightspeed. This news is a few days old but it turns out Yu Miyazawa is moving away from Kamen Rider Gotchard to play a sixth ranger. This also reminds me that I wished Shinji Kasahara played Hojo Toru in Kamen Rider Agito after his time in Mirai Sentai Timeranger. 

This interesting detail came from Tokusatsu Network and yes, he was in Gotchard as the guest villain Captain Alpha. Talk about a HEROIC turnabout! It's a reverse from a trend where Super Sentai heroic main cast characters would later play villains in later installments. Perhaps my favorite examples are Kei Hosogai and Kihachiro Uemara during the Hirohisa Soda era. Here, a one-time guest villain becomes the sixth ranger!

Sakito is a character who was originally born on Earth, but has traveled across space acting as a “hit man” with his partner, Bun Diesel. Using the Bun Bun Controller and calling himself a “BoonBoomger”, Sakito transforms into Bun Violet.

“I’ve auditioned for tokusastu productions more than 10 times now, so to be honest, I had given up. Since it was my last chance in my 20s, I was really excited when I was selected to appear.” Miyazawa stated in an interview. Miyazawa previously portrayed Alpha, a captain of the Hundred army in episode 32 of Kamen Rider Gotchard.

It should be interesting that Yu will be joined by Nautaki Hanae - who will be serving a voice role instead:

Additionally, voice actor Natauki Hanae (known for his many popular voices roles, such as Tanjiro in Demon Slayer and Ken Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul) will provide the voice of Sakito’s robotic partner, Bun Diesel AKA “Bundy”. Also a childhood fan of the Super Sentai series, Hanae was excited to tell his daughters, who are fans of BoonBoomger, about his upcoming role in the show. Hanae will also provide the voice of the Bun Bun Controller transformation device for Bun Violet.

I confess that I'm really out of juice for Boonboomger. There's a lot of real life going on and blogging is just a hobby.
